Kung Fu Fighting Giraffe by Markus
Markus found a sketch of two sparring giraffes in karate gear, and he thought it was really cute, so he painted it! All we can do is hope that he paints the other giraffe on a different canvas, completing the scene and our lives. Painted on a 12" x 18" with acrylic paint and paint markers.
Illuminati? maybe. by Markus
I don't know anything about this painting. Its different from Markus' usual content, and it has kind of a Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon feel, because of the rainbow, and I would be lying if I said anything about this piece. Its on a 12" x 18" canvas, with paint markers and sharpie.
Frog Speech
This was originally an idea I water-colored, and I can't remember what happened to the water color painting. But I remembered it, and decided to paint it again. Normally when I give a character a speech bubble, they will say some kind of phrase that relates to the character. Instead of having this frog say something, I decided the make a big squiggle in his bubble. I don't know what it means, but I like to think its some kind of sound waves, like how a frog would write if frogs had written word. I don't know, but one thing I do know is that frogs are cute, and always an appreciated subject.
This canvas was found at Deseret Industries, roughly 10" x 20" and painted with acrylic and outlined in black with a sharpie.
Darth Vader, by Markus
This is a painting of the baddest, darkest figure in all the galaxy. Star Wars is a reoccurring subject in Markus' art, and this was completed with acrylic paint, paint markers and sharpies on a 8" x 20" wooden box canvas. He was able to finish the painting at work, and that makes be really jealous!
Zombo, colored and ready to hang up!
This Zombo painting was originally just black and white, but it wasn't very interesting so I gave it color. I used acrylic paint, on a large and warped 18"x 24" canvas panel. Because its warped and can't be pinned into a wall, a put a double sided adhesive tape on it, making it a pain and a terror to remove! I can't wait to hang it up!
Deadpool, by Markus!
This painting was drawn and painted by my roommate and collaborator, Markus. He used paint markers and sharpies to complete this work, on a 10"x14" canvas. Deadpool is a Marvel Comics character, and probably one of Markus' favorite comicbook characters of all time.
Hello fellow bloggers, and friend of Bathroom Art! New year, new ideas. From now on, the way I'm going to manage this blog is explain the artwork, and tell a little story about them. I personally can only tell back stories and the idea that went into my own personal artwork, but I'll explain what all the other art is about to, or at least a little story.
The theory behind explaining artwork and giving a back story is to pique the interest of the viewers of this blog, whether family, friend or internet surfer. I, personally. want more people to contact me, start a conversation or anything to connect with the viewers. I mostly consider my work as really human, and connecting with other humans with the use of abstract/outsider/cartoon pieces would be the ultimate best-case scenario.
Thanks for all the support! I honestly never would have continued without some of you. You know who you are, whether you always view the blog or you contribute art to this blog. Thanks again!

This is why the ocean is so salty!
I enjoyed this painting. Its a very good likeness to my younger brother, and it captures a moment in time most will appreciate. 8" x 10" in a coffee shop in St. George, Utah.
The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack
A fine painting of one of Markus's favorite cartoon shows. 12" x 18", in a bathroom in a coffee shop in St. George, Utah.
Giraffestronaut on a long canvas
I sold a Giraffestronaut painting at the Art Party, so I replaced it with another. 10" x 40", originally a boy scout tutorial for tying knots I found at the D.I. Hanged proudly in my apartment next to Space Markus.

Cap'n Giraffe at The Harbor
I set this painting up in a brand new coffee shop, and they took it down! It was at a shop called The Harbor, so it only made sense to make a painting of a Giraffe sea captain specifically for them!
